Public Service Reform

The government white paper on public service reform is due shortly. According to recent press reports,there is likely to be more focus on ‘payment by results’ contracts and a significant extension of personal budgets.

Personal budgets are currently only operational in health and social care, but are likely to be extended  to other groups such as children and young people, people with mental health issues and some other groups.

Many people think that there  has been substantial reductions in funding out there due to the governments deficit reduction policies, while this is undoubtably correct, there are still many other funding sources, that organisations can apply to.
